The Hurum Glossary is a database containing thousands of watch, watchmaking, and watch culture terms. The purpose of this project is to provide a comprehensive and accurate glossary of watch world words. Here you will find definitions for watch parts, horological concepts, physics terms, cultural references, and slang thrown around in the world of watches.

Words are regularly added to the Glossary. We write all the definitions ourselves to ensure that they are of a consistent voice and a satisfactory standard of accuracy. If there is a term you would like added or a definition you feel is not quite right, please write to us.
